The 11 stories in “Trespassers” zig zag back and forth between coastal Massachusetts and rural Ireland—sometimes within the same story.

Regardless of setting or country, there’s a connecting theme of place and displacement, and this book brims with each character’s attempt to reconcile past and present, loss and hope and here and home.

Released on March 6, 2025, “Trespassers” is now available for pre-order from the publisher’s website and other retail outlets.

Áine Greaney’s new collection of stories, Trespassers, is a powerful rendering of women in perpetual transition, straddling who they were and what they’ve become.
— Ellen Scheible, author, Body Politics in Contemporary Irish Women's Fiction: The Literary Legacy of Mother Ireland
Greaney’s characters are indeed trespassers into awkward emotional terrains—and their successes are usually triumphs of adaptation and endurance.
— James Silas Rogers, author, American Autobiography: Divided Hearts
